Using the website
You can browse products, create an account and manage your orders. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into product questions or support messages.
Information and purposes
- Accounts: email address, profile information you provide and authentication records, used to sign you in and manage your account.
- Google sign-in: if you choose Google, we receive your basic profile, email and Google account identifier to create or link your account. We do not request access to Gmail messages or Google Drive.
- Orders and support: information you submit, including contact, delivery and order details, used to handle your requests and process applicable order and fulfilment requests.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser/request information, cookies and logs used to operate and protect the website.
Required fields are marked on forms. You may browse without creating an account; some account or order functions need the corresponding information.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, connected through Google Site Kit, to understand how visitors use our store and improve product information and the shopping experience. Analytics may include pages viewed, referral sources, device and browser information, cookie-based identifiers, and interactions such as viewing a product, adding it to the cart, starting checkout, registering an account and completing a purchase.
Purchase analytics may include a transaction identifier, product identifiers and names, quantities, currency, order value, shipping and tax amounts. Our custom shopping events are designed not to send your name, email address, password or payment card details to Google Analytics. Analytics information is separate from the information needed to fulfil your order.
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. For supported browsers, you can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent your website activity from being made available to Google Analytics. These choices do not remove information already collected or stop essential account, cart and order processing.
Cookies and browser storage
WordPress and WooCommerce use cookies or browser storage for authentication and cart/session functions. Google and Cloudflare may use their own security or authentication cookies. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or cart features from working. You can clear browser storage and cookies through your browser settings.
Service providers and international processing
Our website uses Vultr hosting, Cloudflare delivery/security services, Google sign-in, Google Analytics and Brevo transactional email. Support email is handled through Gmail. These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, subject to their services and applicable laws. We share information needed for their respective functions. WordPress and WooCommerce provide the website and account software.
Do not submit payment card details through support email. Any payment service used for a transaction will be identified during checkout, together with its applicable privacy information.
Retention and security
We retain information as needed to provide the relevant service, maintain account records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the record and purpose. We use access controls and encrypted connections; no online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us to request deletion of information that is no longer needed. Backups and legally required records may need to be retained separately.
Your choices and requests
You can update available account details in My Account. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. We may verify your identity before responding. Rights, exceptions and response deadlines depend on applicable law. Disconnecting Google access through Google does not automatically delete your Gem By Me account; contact us for account deletion.
Account and order messages are transactional. Creating an account is not consent to marketing emails. If you choose to subscribe, we use your email to send a confirmation link, your subscriber offer and marketing updates. We record your consent and confirmation, and link your email to a single-use offer to prevent repeat redemption. You can unsubscribe through the link in subscriber emails or contact us. Creating an account or placing an order does not subscribe you to marketing.
